Happy first holiday after spring arrives! This is what we have stripped Good Friday down to.

However, is it a holiday to celebrate a three-day weekend, or is it a HOLY DAY where our LORD and SAVIOUR offered us the Greatest 3-day weekend that mankind has ever or will ever experience?

My dear friends, today represents more than just a spring holiday.

It was more than just another Friday.

It was more than just a Christian Observance Day.

Whether you profess yourself as a Christian, an atheist, or somewhere in between, JESUS died on the behalf of all. For GOD so loved the world, that HE gave HIS only begotten SON (John 3:16). HE so loved the world, not just certain races, cultures, or denominations within the world.

There may be many tongues within the world, but that is only because GOD took one language and broke it into many parts. (Genesis 11:6-8)

HE is the GOD of every language, every culture, every dialect…… everybody.

Yet now, in an effort to not offend anyone (who, by the way, is included in “everybody”), we have reduced the DAY that JESUS suffered in agony on our behalf, to atone for our sins, to just 24 more hours on the clock.

What is today for you?

Is it Good Friday or just another typical day?

The Greek word for gospel is translated as euaggelion. It is defined as SHARING good news. The good news is that there was an immaculate event that occurred on Good Friday that ultimately led to Resurrection Sunday.

Resurrection Sunday is only significant because Good Friday existed.

Our Heavenly FATHER designed this day, so that you could experience, Greater days.

Isaiah 53:10

10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise HIM; HE hath put HIM to grief: when THOU shalt make HIS soul an offering for sin, HE shall see HIS seed, HE shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

Of note, HE was stripped down as well and was placed in a purple robe. (John 19:1-3 & Matthew 27:28)

It was an attempt to mock HIM, but HE was KING before the robe, in the robe, and out of the robe. Because we can’t change HIS Kingship just because HE doesn’t fit our lifestyle.

HE doesn’t lose HIS KINGSHIP, when we exercise our own free will, to not believe in HIM. HE remains KING. HE remains LORD. HE remains ALPHA and OMEGA.

I’ll ask again, if HE is KING at your beginning and is KING at your end, who or WHO is HE during your middle?

You can strip a KING of HIS clothes, but HE still remains KING. You can strip today down to commonality, but it’s still Good Friday.

Bless the LORD Affirmation

Dearest FATHER,

We acknowledge that a penalty was established for sin (Romans 3:23), and we were not able to pay it ourselves (Romans 6:23). Thank YOU for providing us a REDEEMER, WHO willfully offered HIMSELF as payment for our sins. We thank YOU for JESUS and Good Friday, for without either, we would be eternally lost.

Bless the LORD oh my soul and all that is within. Bless HIS Holy Name and HIS Holy Day.
