Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Joyce Lanier. I am a wife to an amazing husband. A mother to two thriving young men. They are 17.5 years apart, but I’ll save those details for another blog. I am a grandmother, a sister, a registered respiratory therapist, and an ordained minister.
However, my greatest identity is as a child of GOD. Intimacy with my LORD & SAVIOUR, JESUS CHRIST, has brought incomparable fulfillment to my life that is indescribable. Ultimately, I’m a better wife, mother, friend, stranger, and overall human being, all because of my relationship with HIM.
You may be wondering why the capitalization in the letters of HIS name. I was taught early on in ministry to intentionally set HIM apart from any other individual. No name is more significant than HIS. HE is more extensive than anything else that I am associated with. HE is a great GOD, and so is HIS name. HE is magnified in my life and in my writings as well.
The name of my website is “Bless the LORD Ministries” based on my favorite scripture, Psalm 103. I love it because all throughout the bible we read countless stories of how GOD is a blessing to us.
However, in Psalms 103, David commands himself and others to speak to our souls and command them to be a blessing to our LORD. We can willfully make the decision to give something to HIM.
Bless the LORD, oh my soul and all that is within me.
That’s the purpose of this Blog site. To make increments of small affirmations of blessings to HIM as we continue to grow into who HE has called us to be.
